I’d love to be able to control a bunch of addressable LEDs via DMX (or actually Art-Net).
My first thought is a Pi Zero (or even Pico?) taking Art-Net in via wifi and outputting … whatever signal you need to control WS2812B via the GPIO pins.
There is useful reading here and here and here, but some things I’ve picked up are:
1 - Disable the sound on your Pi, so you don’t get conflicts on the sound GPIO pin
2 - Use a 3.3V -> 5V signal converter
3 - Use a 24V -> 5V power converter
